Job Purpose As a Data Engineer, specializing in Snowflake and Power BI, you’ll play a vital role in building the backbone of Openforce’s data ecosystem. You’ll be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the infrastructure that transforms raw data into meaningful insights, fueling smarter decisions and strategic growth. Your work will connect the dots between data creation and business intelligence, making sure our data is clean, secure, and ready for action. Openforce’s Data Engineer will be self-driven, curious, and confident in troubleshooting and solving complex data challenges Responsibilities • Design, build, and maintain robust, scalable data pipelines using Snowflake’s cloud data platform • Collaborate with data and business teams to shape the future state of our data warehouse by defining and organizing domains • Develop optimized data models in Snowflake to support dynamic reporting and analytics • Implement and manage ETL/ELT processes that move data from various sources into Snowflake • Monitor and troubleshoot real-time data streams (Kafka, Red Panda) to ensure high availability and performance • Champion data integrity, quality, and security within the Snowflake environment • Translate business requirements into technical solutions that drive value and insights • Tune SQL queries and optimize database design for performance • Support data governance efforts and contribute to technical documentation and standards Qualifications Education and Experience: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience • 3+ years of experience in data engineering, or a similar technical role • Deep hands-on experience with Snowflake, including data modeling, SQL performance tuning, and security configuration • Strong skills in Power BI for building insightful dashboards and visualizations • Proficiency with ETL/ELT tools, techniques, and best practices • Solid SQL expertise and a strong grasp of modern data warehousing principles • Scripting experience with Python or similar languages • Familiarity with data integration design patterns and scalable data architecture • Experience with JavaScript and/or C#, a strong plus The Perks • Continued training and career development • Full Benefits Package including medical, dental, vision, disability, and 401k match • Vacation, sick, and holiday pay Job Type: Remote, Full Time, Exempt Salary: DOE Travel: Up to 5% quarterly, or as needed Passion, excellence, respect, accountability and having fun are just the beginning.
