Role description
Role: Data Automation Specialist (Systems Transformation)
Location: Remote / London
Duration: 3-month initial contract
The Opportunity: From Manual Maintenance to Automated Excellence
Are you a data expert who loves the challenge of taking manual, repetitive processes and "automating them out of existence"?
We are a pioneering, mission-driven legal-tech scale-up on a mission to transform how families navigate life’s biggest transitions. We don’t just want to "fill a gap"; we want to use a natural transition in our team to completely rethink how our sales data flows.
we are looking for a technical architect and automation specialist to step in, audit our current analyst workflows, and build a robust, AI-enhanced system that allows our data function to scale.
The Mission
Your goal is simple but high-impact: Identify, Automate, and Define.
• Audit & Strategy: Quickly get under the hood of our current manual tasks, from weekly KPI reporting to partner referral entries. And decide what to automate, what to simplify, and what to remove entirely.
• Systems Transformation: Build the bridges. You’ll be using SQL, Python, and APIs to connect our ecosystem (HubSpot, Airtable, NocoDB) and creating sophisticated workflows via Zapier or HubSpot.
• AI Integration: We want someone who doesn't just use tools but masters them, leveraging AI to work faster and build smarter solutions.
• Interim Ownership: While you build the future, you’ll keep the lights on. Ensuring our sales data remains accurate and usable across the business.
• The Legacy: By the end of this 3-month engagement, you will provide documented, tested automations and a clear recommendation for what our permanent data function should look like in the future.
The Stack
We care more about your ability to solve problems than a specific list of tools, but you’ll be most successful if you are proficient in:
• CRM: HubSpot (Essential).
• Development: SQL and Python for data extraction and automation pipelines.
• Automation: Zapier, HubSpot Workflows, and API integrations.
• Data Storage: Airtable and NocoDB.
• Bonus Points: Experience with Power BI and a flair for commercial analysis.
About You
• Technically Fearless: You have 3–5 years of experience in data automation and aren’t afraid to dig into "clunky" setups to find the elegant solution.
• A "Human" Techie: You can talk to non-technical stakeholders (including our CEO) to understand their needs without technical with jargon.
• Self-Sufficient: You work fast, think pragmatically, and don't need extensive handholding to deliver value.
• Impact-Driven: You find it frustrating when things take longer than they should and have a natural drive to make processes faster and smarter.
The Practicalities
• Start Date: As soon as possible.
• Flexibility: We offer a flexible, mostly remote working arrangement, though we’d love to see you in the office for key alignment sessions.
Ready to build the future of our data? If you’re a pragmatic problem-solver who thrives on speed and technical creativity, we want to hear from you.
