Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced AWS Data Engineer to support the project team in designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable cloud-based data solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in AWS data services, automation, and data pipeline development.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines on AWS
β’ Develop and optimize data solutions using Amazon Redshift, AWS Glue, and Athena
β’ Implement and manage AWS infrastructure components such as EC2, S3, RDS, and VPCs
β’ Automate deployment, monitoring, and data workflows using AWS native tools and Python scripting
β’ Support data ingestion, transformation, and integration processes
β’ Troubleshoot performance issues and optimize data workflows
β’ Ensure security, governance, and compliance standards across AWS environments
β’ Assist in migration of data and applications to AWS cloud
β’ Collaborate with cross-functional teams including architects, analysts, and stakeholders
Required Skills & Experience
β’ 6β9 years of experience in Data Engineering
β’ Strong hands-on experience with:
β’ AWS (core services & data ecosystem)
β’ Amazon Redshift (Must Have)
β’ AWS Glue
β’ AWS Athena
β’ AWS Lambda
β’ Python (data processing & automation)
β’ Experience with data warehousing, ETL/ELT pipelines
β’ Strong understanding of cloud architecture and best practices
β’ Experience in performance tuning and query optimization
β’ Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation
Preferred Qualifications
β’ Experience in large-scale data migration projects
β’ Knowledge of data governance and security best practices
β’ Exposure to Agile development methodologies
