Role description
Leading Financial Services organization is seeking a skilled Data Engineer to support this Data Warehouse for a long-term contract assignment in Charlotte, NC or Chandler, AZ. Contract Duration: 24 months Required Skills & Experience β€’ 5+ years of professional data engineering experience β€’ Strong ETL development and support experience. β€’ Advanced SQL skills – critical for troubleshooting and writing queries independently. β€’ Ability to: β€’ Investigate data discrepancies. β€’ Optimize data pipelines and SQL queries. β€’ Support job monitoring and performance tuning. Desired Skills & Experience β€’ Experience converting applications from .NET to Java β€’ Background in banking or financial services domains β€’ Familiarity with compliance-driven and regulated environments β€’ Cloud technologies What You Will Be Doing β€’ Help with ETL processes β€’ Write and optimize complex SQL queries - MUST have β€’ Investigate and resolve data issues raised by downstream consumers (e.g., incorrect or stale data). β€’ Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks, especially related to data refresh lags and job inefficiencies. β€’ Work on incidents, deployments, and operations for the Data Warehouse system.
