Leading Financial Services organization is seeking a skilled Data Engineer to support this Data Warehouse for a long-term contract assignment in Charlotte, NC or Chandler, AZ.
Contract Duration: 24 months
Required Skills & Experience
• 5+ years of professional data engineering experience
• Strong ETL development and support experience.
• Advanced SQL skills – critical for troubleshooting and writing queries independently.
• Ability to:
• Investigate data discrepancies.
• Optimize data pipelines and SQL queries.
• Support job monitoring and performance tuning.
Desired Skills & Experience
• Experience converting applications from .NET to Java
• Background in banking or financial services domains
• Familiarity with compliance-driven and regulated environments
• Cloud technologies
What You Will Be Doing
• Help with ETL processes
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries - MUST have
• Investigate and resolve data issues raised by downstream consumers (e.g., incorrect or stale data).
• Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks, especially related to data refresh lags and job inefficiencies.
• Work on incidents, deployments, and operations for the Data Warehouse system.
Must be eligible to work on W2 without sponsorship
