Role description
Data Engineer - 6 month contract - £400 per day (outside ir35) - 1 day a week onsite in London Our media customer are expanding their Data and Insights team and seek a Data Engineer to develop an integrated data ecosystem that empowers customer and business decisions. This role involves designing and maintaining data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric, facilitating advanced analysis and reporting, and evolving our data architecture to support our growth. As a key member of this central team, you will collaborate across departments to enable data-driven innovation and contribute to delivering world-class theatre experiences. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and deploy Microsoft Fabric solutions, including Data Pipelines, Dataflows, and Notebooks. • Develop data models and establish connections to various data sources. • Optimize Power BI reports and dashboards for performance and scalability. • Conduct assessments and audits of existing Microsoft Fabric environments. • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and IT teams to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions. • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior data engineers. • Engage with senior stakeholders to align data solutions with organizational goals. Required Skills and Experience • Strong expertise in Microsoft Fabric and Azure ecosystems. • Proficiency in Python and SQL. • Experience with Power BI for data visualization and integration. • Experience with Power Automate and Power Apps. • • Experience working with various storage formats, including Data Lakes and Data Warehouses. • Expertise in designing and optimizing ETL processes. • Familiarity with data integration tools and API development. Preferred Qualifications • 5+ years / Significant experience in data engineering. • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Fabric and Power BI. • Experience with metadata documentation and development.
