About the role: A Data Engineer to strengthen the Group Risk IT function, which delivers core risk management technology across its clearing and post-trade services. These platforms underpin the calculation, analysis, and reporting of risk exposures, capital requirements, and internal credit scoring — making this a critical role in financial stability and compliance. The ideal candidate will: • Take part in the deployment of robust, scalable data pipelines and risk reporting solutions using Python, Airflow, DBT, and Snowflake. • Work in a team of engineers, reviewing code, mentoring junior members, and coordinating delivery across agile teams. • Work closely with stakeholders to translate complex risk requirements into performant data engineering solutions, integrating with microservices and risk engines. • Apply Test Driven Development and Behaviour Driven Development (TDD/BDD) to ensure code quality and system reliability. • Be proactive in learning financial risk systems, while contributing to the strategy and architecture of the broader data platform as it evolves toward the cloud (AWS/Snowflake).
