About the role:
A Data Engineer to strengthen the Group Risk IT function, which delivers core risk management technology across its clearing and post-trade services. These platforms underpin the calculation, analysis, and reporting of risk exposures, capital requirements, and internal credit scoring β making this a critical role in financial stability and compliance.
The ideal candidate will:
β’ Take part in the deployment of robust, scalable data pipelines and risk reporting solutions using Python, Airflow, DBT, and Snowflake.
β’ Work in a team of engineers, reviewing code, mentoring junior members, and coordinating delivery across agile teams.
β’ Work closely with stakeholders to translate complex risk requirements into performant data engineering solutions, integrating with microservices and risk engines.
β’ Apply Test Driven Development and Behaviour Driven Development (TDD/BDD) to ensure code quality and system reliability.
β’ Be proactive in learning financial risk systems, while contributing to the strategy and architecture of the broader data platform as it evolves toward the cloud (AWS/Snowflake).
