Position Title: Data Engineer
Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting contract Data Engineer Opportunity.
Job Responsibilities:
β’ Data Engineering & UDW Enablement:
β’ Ingest and transform Salesforce (SFDC), SQL and No SQL data, FHIR healthcare data, and other sources into Snowflake DW.
β’ Design data marts, graph data structures, and integrate with graph databases (GraphDB) in Snowflake optimized for conversational agent retrieval.
β’ Build and orchestrate ETL/ELT pipelines using Airflow, Azure Data Factory, dbt, or equivalent cost-effective tools.
β’ Knowledge of Salesforce Apex integration and workflows
β’ Ensure high data quality, governance, lineage, and performance for near real-time queries.
β’ Hands-on experience with Python for scripting, automation, or data processing.
β’ Familiarity with modern data tools and frameworks to accelerate delivery.
β’ Digital Agent Implementation:
β’ Build GenAI/LLM-powered agents that interact with Snowflake, GraphDB, and other systems.
β’ Integrate with telephony systems (e.g., Twilio, Amazon Connect, or Azure equivalents) for inbound and outbound calls.
β’ Implement real-time and near real-time connections to surface answers quickly and accurately.
β’ Incorporate transcription services and concepts of short-term and long-term memory for better conversational continuity.
β’ Enable secure authentication, context passing, and warm transfers to Salesforce Service Cloud or call center platforms.
β’ Experience with prompt engineering and applying LLMs in practical use cases.
β’ Exposure to backend API development and integration patterns.
β’ Architecture, Leadership & Compliance:
β’ Define and own the end-to-end architecture from data ingestion to AI agent interaction, including Snowflake and GraphDB components.
β’ Gather requirements directly from business stakeholders and translate them into technical solutions.
β’ Ensure solutions comply with HIPAA, TCPA, and data privacy standards, with strong PHI/PII protections.
β’ Mentor contractors or junior engineers and lead technical delivery milestones.
β’ Optimization & Innovation:
β’ Monitor and optimize latency, cost, accuracy, and resolution rates of both pipelines and AI agents.
β’ Explore advanced use cases such as outbound engagement, personalization, and multimodal inputs (voice + text).
Job Qualifications:
β’ 7+ years of data engineering experience, with expertise in Snowflake, GraphDB, and ETL/ELT pipeline design.
β’ Proven experience ingesting and transforming Salesforce (SFDC) data and working with FHIR healthcare data models.
β’ Strong background in graph data structures, graph databases (GraphDB), and real-time data retrieval architectures.
