Agility Partners is seeking a qualified Data Engineer to fill an open position with one of our banking clients.
This is a fully remote opportunity but candidates must be located in Columbus, OH, Charlotte, NC, Chicago, IL, Detroit, MI, Minneapolis, MN.
This is an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of data integration, engineering, and analytics, building scalable pipelines that power enterprise-wide insights. The role offers exposure to modern cloud technologies, API-driven architectures, and advanced data modeling practices. You will partner with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, high-quality data assets that support business decision-making. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex data challenges in a highly collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
β’ Design and develop scalable data pipelines to ingest data from APIs into an enterprise data lake
β’ Transform raw data into structured, curated datasets for analytics and reporting
β’ Implement and optimize ETL/ELT processes, ensuring performance, data quality, and schema compliance
β’ Partner with architecture and analytics teams to support data modeling and reporting needs
β’ Build automated processes for pipeline monitoring, reliability, and troubleshooting
Qualifications
β’ Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science or a related field
β’ 5+ years of experience in data engineering and API integration
β’ Strong proficiency in REST APIs, SQL, and data pipeline development
β’ Experience working in cloud environments (AWS preferred)
β’ Familiarity with data lakes, Snowflake, and BI tools such as Tableau
β’ Experience with data modeling, governance, and enterprise integration patterns
