Role description
Data Engineer - Contract • Rate: £500 per day (inside IR35) • Location: Remote with 1 day per month in Leeds • Duration: 6 months The Role We are working with a leading healthtech consultancy based in Leeds, founded in 2007 and now one of the most established names in UK digital health. The organisation has delivered some of the largest healthtech programmes in the world, with deep roots in NHS transformation alongside work spanning government and public sector clients internationally. As the Data Engineer, you will be building and maintaining the automation infrastructure that powers Power BI reporting, and developing and maintaining the Power BI reports and dashboards themselves. You will work closely with operational and technical stakeholders to ensure data flows reliably, securely, and at the quality standards required. Skills and Experience Required • Solid experience with Python, PySpark, Terraform, Power BI, as well as AWS and associated tools such as Firehose, Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, DynamoDB, Athena and VPC • Experience with Fabric, Azure ADLS, Vnet and ADFAzure would be beneficial. • Prior experience working within NHS England, UK Health Security Agency, Department of Health and Social Care, or another central government data environment (Essential) • Strong communication skills — able to engage confidently with both technical peers and non-technical clinical or operational stakeholders • Available on 2 weeks' notice or less • Willingness to undergo a BPSS security check prior to starting Only UK based individuals with the necessary right to work will be considered.
