Role Overview
In this contingent resource assignment, you will consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Software Engineering. You will be tasked to review and analyze complex, multi-faceted, and large-scale Software Engineering challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors. Your contributions will aid in the resolution of complex situations, requiring a solid understanding of function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements to meet deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
• Consult on complex software engineering initiatives with broad impact.
• Review and analyze large-scale or long-term software engineering challenges.
• Contribute to the resolution of complex, multi-faceted situations.
• Ensure deliverables meet function, policy, procedure, and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate and consult with client personnel.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines using ETL tools and frameworks.
• Work with big data technologies such as Apache Spark, Hadoop, or Kafka.
• Perform performance tuning and automate reporting processes.
• Participate in Agile project ceremonies, including backlog grooming and sprint planning.
Required Qualifications
Experience: 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, education.
Technical Skills:
• Data Engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Database, SQL, and PLSQL.
• Experience with Python or Java.
• Experience with ETL tools and data pipeline frameworks.
• Experience with Parquet files in S3 buckets.
• Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with big data technologies such as Apache Spark, Hadoop, or Kafka.
• Hands-on experience in performance tuning and report automation.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Artificial Intelligence.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or Microsoft Azure.
Compensation & Benefits
The pay rate for this position is between $69.00 and $72.00 per hour.
