Role description
We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer with deep expertise in Microsoft Fabric to design and build scalable enterprise data solutions. This role will focus on integrating data from ERP systems, developing robust ETL pipelines, building data models for analytics, and supporting reporting needs in Power BI. The ideal candidate has strong SQL skills, hands-on experience with Databricks, and a proven ability to deliver reliable, high-performance data platforms. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric and Databricks. • Integrate data from ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics 365, NetSuite, or similar enterprise platforms. • Build and optimize ETL/ELT processes to ingest, cleanse, transform, and standardize data from multiple source systems. • Develop and maintain data models, including dimensional models and curated datasets for analytics and reporting. • Create and optimize complex SQL queries, views, stored procedures, and transformation logic. • Support Power BI reporting by preparing semantic models, curated datasets, and analytics-ready data structures. • Partner with business stakeholders, ERP teams, and BI developers to gather requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions. • Ensure data quality, integrity, governance, and security across the data platform. • Monitor and troubleshoot pipeline performance, data load failures, and integration issues. • Document architecture, lineage, source-to-target mappings, and development standards. Required Qualifications • 5+ years of experience in data engineering, data integration, or a related field. • Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric. • Strong experience integrating data from ERP systems. • Advanced proficiency in SQL for data transformation, optimization, and performance tuning. • Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines and enterprise data models. • Hands-on experience with Power BI and analytics-ready dataset design. • Experience with Databricks for data engineering and transformation workloads. • Strong understanding of data warehousing, lakehouse concepts, and modern cloud data architectures. • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional technical and business teams. Preferred Qualifications • Experience with Azure data and analytics services. • Knowledge of ERP domains such as finance, supply chain, procurement, or operations. • Familiarity with data governance, master data management, and enterprise security practices. • Experience supporting large-scale enterprise reporting and analytics environments.
