Role description
Job Title: Data Expert
Location: London (2 days per week in the office)
Rate: Up to £340 per day
Contract Duration: 6 months
Job Summary
We are seeking a Data Expert to join a growing Data & Operations team. This is a pivotal role focused on building a more data-driven operating model within the UK business.
The Data Expert / Data Steward will be responsible for managing and ensuring the quality, accuracy, and security of business data. The role involves monitoring data processes, driving automation strategies, and implementing data governance frameworks. You will collaborate across departments and leverage data to support informed business decision-making.
Proficiency in Alteryx and Power BI is essential, along with a strong understanding of customer relationship management platforms such as Veeva or Salesforce. Experience using Snowflake and Power Automate would be advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
• Data Management: Manage customer data processes and re-engineer/streamline existing workflows.
• Automation: Drive automation initiatives to improve business processes and data quality.
• Reporting: Use Power BI to extract data and deliver insightful reports to business stakeholders.
• Data Quality: Review and resolve data load errors and quality reports. Maintain data accuracy and take corrective action where required.
• Business Support: Respond to queries from business users and maintain regular engagement with the operations team.
• Data Governance: Review new reference data and coordinate with operations to ensure accurate Master Data Management (MDM).
• Change Requests: Manage and process data change requests from field users.
• Data Standards: Support and uphold data standards, rules, and quality requirements.
• Alteryx: Use Alteryx for data preparation, blending, and analytics to support business needs.
Required Skills & Experience
• Strong understanding of CRM principles and systems such as Salesforce or Veeva.
• Proficiency in Alteryx for data preparation, blending, and analytics.
• Proficiency in Power BI for reporting and dashboard development.
• Strong attention to detail and clear communication skills.
Preferred Experience
• Experience improving data quality frameworks, specifications, process flows, application design, and configuration.
• Proven experience managing and organising complex data sets.
• Experience within a regulated or structured industry environment
