We are seeking a Data Governance Analyst to support a major government healthcare department in strengthening its enterprise-wide data governance initiatives. This role will help ensure the quality, integrity, and security of mission-critical healthcare data by implementing best practices, standards, and compliance frameworks. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on contributor with a strong foundation in data governance principles and a passion for improving data quality and stewardship across large, complex environments. Key Responsibilities • Support the rollout of a data governance framework, policies, and procedures across the department. • Enforce enterprise data standards, naming conventions, classification, and metadata management. • Coordinate data stewardship efforts, including data profiling, cleansing, and monitoring. • Drive adoption of Collibra and other data catalog tools; deliver user training and support. • Ensure adherence to data privacy regulations and compliance requirements. • Conduct data governance audits and risk assessments; recommend corrective actions. • Promote data governance awareness through training and internal communications. • Collaborate with committees and stakeholders to advance governance initiatives. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or a related field. • 3+ years of experience in data governance, data quality, or data management. • Strong knowledge of data governance frameworks and data privacy regulations. • Hands-on experience with Collibra, including administrative tasks and user engagement. • Familiarity with data catalogs, metadata repositories, and data lineage tools. • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills. • Certifications in Data Governance (e.g., CDMP, DGSP) are a plus. • Experience supporting change management and cultural transformation in data initiatives.
