Apply via Dice today! c 6 Months contract – Extension long term Contract Location: Vienna, VA 22182 Job Description: • Implement, configure, and administer the Alation data catalog and governance platform. • Define and maintain data governance policies, standards, business glossaries, and data stewardship processes. • Collaborate with business and technical teams to identify, classify, and catalog critical data assets. • Manage metadata, data lineage, data quality, and data ownership within Alation. • Support data governance initiatives, compliance requirements, and regulatory standards. • Develop workflows, stewardship processes, and governance frameworks to improve data management. • Conduct user training and promote adoption of Alation across the organization. • Integrate Alation with data sources, BI tools, and data platforms. • Monitor governance metrics and provide reports on data quality, catalog usage, and compliance Required Skills: • 3+ years of experience in Data Governance, Data Management, or Metadata Management. • Hands-on experience with Alation Data Catalog. • Strong understanding of data lineage, metadata management, data quality, and master data management. • Experience with SQL, databases, data warehouses, and BI tools. • Knowledge of governance frameworks, GDPR, CCPA, or similar compliance standards. • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
