Business Operations Specialist II β Data Governance & Stewardship

The Business Operations Specialist II supports Data Governance and Data Stewardship initiatives by serving as a key liaison between pharmaceutical clients and internal teams. This role focuses on managing, improving, and sustaining high-quality customer data while ensuring governance standards, stewardship processes, and service-level commitments are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Oversee and manage pharmaceutical client customer data management processes, including physicians, organizations, and related entities.
β’ Assess, monitor, and improve customer data quality using client systems and tools such as MDM and CRM platforms, as well as spreadsheets and reporting tools.
β’ Partner closely with clients on Data Governance and Data Stewardship engagements, ensuring alignment with business rules, data standards, and operational workflows.
β’ Develop, document, and continuously improve data management processes, workflows, and standard operating procedures.
β’ Train and support internal and client teams on data stewardship processes, tools, and best practices.
β’ Identify data quality issues, trends, and risks; provide ongoing feedback and escalate concerns to client and internal leadership as needed.
β’ Track, analyze, and report key metrics and SLA performance on a predefined schedule to ensure accountability and transparency.
β’ Ensure work quality, accuracy, and timeliness across all data operations activities.
Skills & Experience
β’ Bachelorβs degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
β’ Required experience working with medical or healthcare data; pharmaceutical data experience preferred.
β’ Working knowledge of relational databases and data platforms (e.g., MDM, CRM).
β’ Strong technology aptitude with the ability to quickly learn client systems and tools.
β’ Experience in process design, workflow optimization, and operational execution.
β’ Demonstrated project management, operational leadership, and team leadership experience.
β’ Strong analytical, research, and data quality management skills with high attention to detail.
β’ Experience tracking KPIs and analyzing performance metrics.
β’ Excellent customer service, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
β’ Ability to work independently or collaboratively in a team environment; proactive and eager to learn.
β’ Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and Copilot (Access a plus).
