Power BI Developer

This role supports several high-impact initiatives, including the enhancement of daily reporting and the completion of the FAM report, both requiring advanced Power BI development and delivery of training to internal teams. Additional projects include Gray Sky and L&B forecasting efforts, which utilize AI-driven techniques, Python-based statistical modeling, and supporting Power BI visualizations. Key responsibilities include designing, developing, and optimizing Power BI dashboards and reports that integrate data from multiple sources. The role requires building robust data models and complex measures capable of handling non-standard and edge-case scenarios, as well as incorporating AI-enabled features to deliver predictive insights and advanced analytics. The position also involves close collaboration with Finance and cross-functional stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable, effective reporting and analytics solutions. All deliverables must be simplified, maintainable, well-documented, and aligned with best practices. Responsibilities further include applying time series analysis and other advanced analytical methods as needed, clearly communicating technical findings to non-technical audiences, and providing hands-on technical training to the Finance team to support ongoing professional development. Required Qualifications • Advanced expertise in Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and data modeling • Experience integrating AI and predictive analytics into reporting solutions • Proficiency in Python and statistical modeling techniques • Strong training, presentation, and communication skills for effective knowledge transfer • Solid business acumen with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities • Working knowledge of financial terminology and forecasting concepts • Excellent documentation and solution-design skills • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field • 2+ years of experience in BI development, with at least 2 years in advanced Power BI roles • 2+ years of experience developing machine learning or statistical models using Python, R, or similar tools • Demonstrated experience with data modeling, performance optimization, and integrating multiple data sources • Exposure to AI-driven analytics and Python-based statistical modeling • Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate or equivalent certification preferred • Familiarity with advanced analytics and machine learning concepts preferred
