Data Governance Expert / EngineerSioux Falls, SD 57110 (Once a month visit to client location) Job Description: Data Catalog Management – Implement and maintain enterprise data catalogs to ensure consistent data definitions, metadata standards, and discoverability across the organization. Data Lineage Oversight – Establish and monitor end-to-end data lineage to track data flow, transformation, and usage across systems, ensuring transparency and compliance. Interface Registry Administration – Maintain a centralized registry of system interfaces, enabling clear visibility, accountability, and change impact analysis. Interface Control Documentation (ICDs) – Develop, review, and update ICDs to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with business and technical requirements. Interface Management Plan – Define and enforce processes for governing interfaces between systems, including integration standards, version control, and risk mitigation. Data Governance & Management Plan – Design, implement, and monitor enterprise-wide data governance and management plans, aligning with regulatory, compliance, and business objectives. Policy & Standards Development – Define and enforce policies for data quality, security, access control, retention, and usage across all data assets. Stakeholder Collaboration – Partner with business units, data stewards, and IT teams to drive adoption of governance practices and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture. Compliance & Audit Support – Ensure all data governance processes support compliance with regulatory frameworks (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA, SOX) and prepare documentation for audits. Continuous Improvement – Monitor effectiveness of data governance practices, recommend improvements, and implement best practices to enhance data trust and usability.
