Job Title: Senior Data Governance Consultant (Collibra Specialist)
Location: NYC (Hybrid 3Xa week in office)
Employment Type: Contract (6-12 Month Contract)
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Governance Consultant with deep expertise in Collibra Data Quality to join our team. This is a hands-on role focused on implementing, configuring, and optimizing enterprise-level data governance and data quality solutions.
As a Data Governance expert, you will be responsible for leading initiatives to design, implement, and maintain scalable data governance and management frameworks for our clients. You’ll work closely with stakeholders to define business rules, enhance metadata management, integrate platforms, and enable automation across data quality processes.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and implement data governance frameworks, including metadata management and data quality monitoring.
• Configure, administer, and optimize Collibra Data Quality, including custom rule design and platform integration.
• Develop and implement Collibra workflows, including Java-based development and API integrations.
• Integrate Collibra with enterprise platforms such as Snowflake, RDBMS, and REST APIs.
• Capture and document business rules, data quality rules, and create reports and dashboards.
• Collaborate with technical teams to operationalize DQ rules and automate data monitoring.
• Conduct stakeholder analysis, develop communication plans, and ensure effective engagement throughout governance projects.
Required Skills & Experience
• 12+ years in Data Engineering and/or Data Governance.
• 5+ years hands-on experience with Collibra Data Quality (configuration, rule design, and administration).
• Proven experience installing, customizing, and administering enterprise Data Quality platforms.
• Strong development experience with Java and REST APIs, particularly for Collibra workflows and automation.
• Demonstrated ability to integrate Collibra with modern enterprise data platforms.
Nice to Have
• Experience building custom integrations using Collibra APIs.
• Familiarity with Collibra DQ metadata and building governance metrics or scorecards.
• 5+ years implementing advanced Collibra integrations (e.g., connectors, workflow automation).
• Experience in issue tracking and resolution facilitation in data quality environments.
