Role description
Define and implement data governance frameworks, policies, and standards across the organization.
Manage data cataloging, lineage, and metadata using Microsoft Purview.
Establish data quality rules, stewardship processes, and ownership models for critical data domains.
Classify and secure sensitive data to ensure compliance with regulations (GDPR, HIPAA, Basel, etc.).
Collaborate with business, IT, and compliance teams to align governance with organizational goals.
Integrate Purview with Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Power BI, and other data platforms.
Monitor and enforce data access controls, policies, and RBAC for secure usage.
Drive training and awareness programs to promote a data-driven and governance-first culture.
Provide reporting and dashboards on governance KPIs, compliance status, and data quality metrics.
Stay updated with emerging regulations and governance technologies to continuously improve frameworks
