Data Governance Expert Microsoft Purview Specialist Senior Data Governance Engineer Microsoft Purview with deep handson experience implementing and operating Microsoft Purview in enterprise data environments
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Experience: 5+ years in Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, or Technical Data Governance.
• Platform Expertise: 3+ years of production experience implementing Microsoft Purview (Collections, Scanners, Classifications, Lineage).
• Technical Stack: Proficiency in Python and experience working with REST APIs/SDKs.
• Cloud Ecosystem: Strong knowledge of Azure (Data Factory, Synapse, SQL) and AWS (S3, Redshift, Glue).
• Data Quality: Proven experience setting up automated DQ profiling and monitoring.
• Reporting: Ability to build advanced reports in Microsoft Fabric or Power BI using Purview metadata.
• Documentation: Ability to translate complex technical implementations into clear documentation for both engineers and stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in the Financial Services industry (familiarity with regulatory compliance).
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Knowledge of AI-driven metadata tagging and automation insights.
