Role description
Enterprise Data Governance Strategy
· Define and own multi-year product vision and roadmap for enterprise data governance platforms covering metadata, lineage, reference data, and data quality.
· Treat governance as a data product, defining KPIs, adoption metrics, and value realization.
Metadata Management & Business Glossary Architecture
· Design and operationalize enterprise metadata standards, business glossary structures, ownership models, and stewardship workflows.
· Ensure traceability between business terms, technical assets, reports, and downstream consumers using governance tooling.
· Govern lifecycle management of enterprise definitions, classifications, and certifications.
Automated Data Lineage & Impact Analysis
· Architect and oversee automated lineage across data warehouses, ETL pipelines, virtualization layers, and BI tools.
· Enable end-to-end traceability from source systems to regulatory reports.
· Support change-impact analysis, risk assessments, and audit evidence generation.
Enterprise Data Quality Engineering & Controls
· Establish enterprise data quality frameworks, including profiling, rule definition, thresholds, monitoring, and exception management.
· Define defect management workflows, root-cause analysis, and remediation SLAs with data owners.
· Produce regulatory-grade DQ dashboards and quality metrics.
Reference Data & API-Driven Distribution (Nice to have)
· Govern enterprise reference data standards and design API-driven distribution models for consistent downstream consumption.
· Ensure single-source-of-truth principles and eliminate duplication across systems.
Agile Product Delivery & Cross-Functional Leadership
· Lead agile delivery for large enterprise backlogs; write epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
· Coordinate work across platform engineers, data architects, governance leads, and offshore delivery teams.
· Manage release planning, dependency resolution, and stakeholder demos.
Regulatory, Audit & Executive Engagement
· Prepare governance artifacts, lineage views, and control documentation for audits and regulatory exams.
· Communicate governance posture and risk reduction outcomes to executive leadership.
