Role description
Job Title: Data Governance Analyst Job Location : London Job Type : Hybrid(3 days/Week) Role Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Data Governance Analyst to support the organization’s data strategy and governance framework. This role will involve maintaining data catalogues, ensuring data quality, and working closely with business stakeholders to strengthen data management practices across the enterprise. Key Responsibilities β€’ Provide input into the development of policies and procedures for Data Governance. β€’ Maintain the Data Catalogue, including the Business Glossary, Data Lineage, and governance content. β€’ Investigate and report the root cause of data-related issues. β€’ Help define Data Quality methodology and standards for data definition and management. β€’ Perform other duties as requested by the Head of IT or General Manager. Communicate with business stakeholders regarding the objectives of the Data Strategy and roles/responsibilities in Data Governance. β€’ Support the Data Governance process by coordinating and running meetings, documenting outcomes, and tracking actions. β€’ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business processes and projects. β€’ Stay updated on advances in data-related technologies and techniques. Qualifications, Qualities, and Experience β€’ Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Engineering, Finance, Economics, or Business. β€’ Excellent communication and teamwork skills. β€’ Strong analytical skills, curiosity, and attention to detail. β€’ Experience working as a Business Analyst and/or Data Analyst in a financial institution. β€’ Strong understanding of business processes and data usage within financial institutions. β€’ Experience with data catalogues and lineage tools is advantageous. β€’ Proficiency in SQL, data modelling, and database design is advantageous.
