About the Role
We’re seeking a Housing Data Insight Analyst to support our Empty Homes Transformation Programme.
You’ll work closely with service teams to:
• Understand business processes across housing and empty homes
• Analyse existing data and reporting
• Develop improved reporting and dashboards to drive performance
• Engage confidently with non-data users, explaining insights clearly and simply
Your work will directly influence how the organisation reduces empty homes and improves service delivery.
Key Skills & Experience
To succeed in this role, you’ll need:
Essential
• Knowledge of social housing, empty homes, or an understanding of the property lettings journey from a data perspective
• Ability to communicate with non-technical stakeholders
• Client-facing, confident, and engaging — able to explain “what the data says” and “what it means”
• Experience using NEC Housing Management System
• Strong Power BI and Excel skills
• Ability to write SQL queries
• Understanding of performance reporting and how to translate data into actionable insights
Desirable (Perfect Candidate Profile)
• Experience working specifically with Empty Homes data
• Experience with Azure Data Bricks (not essential)
• Fast learner with the ability to work across multiple stakeholder groups
Technical Environment
You’ll be working with:
• NEC Housing Management System (data source)
• Azure Data Bricks (data transformation)
• Power BI (reporting and dashboards)
• Excel (analysis and performance management)
Working Arrangement
• Immediate start
