Title: Data Management Analyst - Regulatory Reporting (Contract)
Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid preferred)

Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Data Management Analyst to support regulatory reporting compliance efforts. This role is critical in addressing federal regulatory infractions related to insufficient documentation in reports filed with the SEC and other governing bodies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data governance, data lineage, and regulatory reporting, with the ability to dissect complex data structures and ensure data quality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Data Analysis & Interpretation:
β’ Review and interpret data dictionaries, schemas, and lineage documentation.
β’ Assess data quality and source reliability for high-risk regulatory reports (e.g., Y-14, CCAR, FR Y-9C).
β’ Validate metadata and ensure alignment with enterprise data governance standards.
β’ Regulatory & Risk Compliance:
β’ Understand and apply regulatory frameworks (OCC, Fed, SEC).
β’ Support MRA remediation and RCSA processes.
β’ Identify and escalate non-adherence to approved data sources.
β’ Documentation & Reporting:
β’ Dissect and validate documentation supporting regulatory filings.
β’ Create and maintain desktop procedures, checklists, and audit-ready artifacts.
β’ Review and enhance process documentation for compliance and transparency.
β’ Stakeholder Engagement:
β’ Collaborate with application owners and data stewards to clarify data/reporting requirements.
β’ Act as a liaison between business, compliance, and technology teams.
β’ Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to stakeholders.
β’ Technical Acumen:
β’ Analyze database structures (schemas, tables, fields) to trace data lineage.
β’ Utilize SQL and ETL knowledge to validate data sources and transformations.
β’ Ensure data is sourced from enterprise-approved systems.
β’ Project Management:
β’ Manage timelines (typically 60-90 days) to identify and validate data sources.
β’ Track progress and report on milestones related to data remediation efforts.
Required Skills & Experience:
β’ 5+ years of experience in data management, data governance, or regulatory reporting.
β’ Strong understanding of data lineage analysis, metadata management, and data quality assessment.
β’ Familiarity with regulatory reporting standards (e.g., Y-14, CCAR, FR Y-9C).
β’ Experience with MRA remediation, RCSA, and OCC/Fed compliance.
β’ Proficiency in SQL, data dictionaries, and ETL processes.
β’ Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
β’ Ability to create and review desktop procedures, checklists, and audit documentation.
Preferred Qualifications:
β’ Experience working in a large financial institution or regulatory environment.
β’ Knowledge of enterprise data architecture and governance frameworks.
β’ Prior involvement in non-adherence reporting and internal controls.
