Data Modeler

Data Modeler (Remote) Primary Location: Remote V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring for a Data Modeler (Remote) for our premier client. Education And Experience » • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Management, or related field (or equivalent experience). • 7-10 years of experience in data modeling, dimensional modeling, or data architecture roles. • Strong knowledge of relational, dimensional, and NoSQL data modeling techniques. • Proficiency with data modeling tools (e.g., ER/Studio, Erwin, SQLDBM, Lucidchart). • Solid SQL skills with experience designing for cloud data platforms (Databricks, Synapse, Azure SQL Databases, Redshift, BigQuery, or similar). • Familiarity with ETL/ELT processes, data integration, and metadata management (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Databricks LDP, SSIS, Informatica) • Experience with object-oriented/object function scripting languages: Python, C# • Experience with Azure cloud services: Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2, Databricks, PySpark • Enterprise-scale technical experience with cloud and hybrid infrastructures, architecture designs, database migrations, and technology management. • Ability to orchestrate, and influence remote teams, ensuring successful implementation of customer projects. • Should be detail oriented and possess good organizational skills. • Should be able to work with a cross-functional team in a dynamic environment. • Strategic thinker with ability to multi-task and work effectively in a team (remote) setting. Preferred • Experience with enterprise-scale analytics environments and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Qlik, Tableau, Databricks AI/BI Dashboards). • Exposure to data governance, data cataloging, and MDM practices. • Knowledge of data vault modeling, star schema, and snowflake modeling. • Experience with API Platform tools e.g., Postman • Effective communication and collaboration skills with both technical and business teams.
