Data Modeler

Data Modeler (Flexibility to travel required) We are looking for a Senior Data Modelling Expert to design and govern scalable data models on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The role will drive enterprise data modelling standards and support analytics, reporting, and advanced data use cases. Key Responsibilities • Design and implement enterprise data models using Data Vault 2.0 (having Vault exp is nice to have) • DBT (Data Build Tool) • Define modelling standards, best practices, and governance guidelines • Design and optimize data models in BigQuery • Collaborate with Data Engineers and Analytics teams to ensure model usability and performance • Translate business requirements into scalable logical and physical data models • Support architecture decisions for data platforms and data lifecycle management • Ensure data quality, lineage, and traceability across systems • Mentor teams on data modelling best practices Must Have • Strong hands-on experience with BigQuery • Strong experience with GCP data ecosystem • Advanced SQL and performance optimization skills • Experience designing enterprise-scale data models • Strong stakeholder communication skill Nice to Have Strong experience in Data Vault 2.0 methodology (mandatory) Experience working with ETL/ELT frameworks Experience with data governance and metadata tooling Experience in agile data platform environments
