Assessment Centre: In-person on Wednesday in Sheffield(Open to candidates based in or willing to commute to Sheffield, Manchester, Leeds, or Birmingham)
We are hiring a Data Modeler to join HSBC’s Strategy and Planning team. This is a great opportunity for professionals with 3 to 5 years of experience in consulting, banking, or corporate strategy who want to be part of high-impact, data-driven initiatives and work directly with senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain data models for financial forecasting, risk analysis, and strategic planning
• Build dashboards and reports using Power BI, Power Query, and Excel VBA
• Collaborate with teams across finance, risk, and technology
• Present data-driven insights and recommendations to senior management
• Perform scenario modeling and ensure data consistency and governance
Candidate Requirements:
• 3 to 5 years of experience in a consulting, banking, or strategy-focused analytical role
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Technical skills: Advanced Excel (including VBA), Power BI, Power Query, SQL; Python is a plus
• Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving ability
• Willing to attend an in-person assessment in Sheffield on Wednesday
• Open to candidates based in or willing to commute to Sheffield, Manchester, Leeds, or Birmingham
