Role description
JOB DETAILS Role Title: Data Modeller Work mode: Hybrid, 3 days WFO Contract duration: 6 -12 Months Location: London Role Overview Seeking an experienced Data Modeller with strong banking domain expertise to design and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models for enterprise data platforms. The role supports regulatory, risk, finance, customer, and operational data initiatives across the bank. Key Responsibilities • Develop and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models (3NF, Dimensional, Data Vault). • Model core banking datasets such as accounts, transactions, lending, payments, customer, KYC/AML, and risk data. • Collaborate with data architects, engineers, and business SMEs to ensure accurate data design and implementation. • Review ETL mappings and ensure alignment with data models and governance standards. • Maintain metadata, data dictionaries, and lineage documentation. Required Experience & Skills • 5–10 years of data modelling experience, with 5+ years in banking. • Strong SQL and expertise in tools like Erwin, ER/Studio, PowerDesigner, Sparx EA. • Good understanding of data warehousing, data lakes, MDM, and governance. • Knowledge of banking processes and regulatory frameworks (e.g., Basel, IFRS9, BCBS239). Preferred Qualifications • Degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or related field. • Certifications in DAMA, cloud, or data modelling tools (optional).
