Data Modeler

Position: Data Modeler Compensation: $50 - 65 /hour, depending on experience Location: Kansas City, Missouri Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Data Modeler to join their team! Join a dynamic team focused on modernizing enterprise-level data environments. Work alongside experts, contributing to innovative projects that drive AI and analytics initiatives. This hands-on role is perfect for those passionate about data modeling and eager to bring their expertise to cutting-edge solutions. Key Responsibilities & Duties: • Design and implement dimensional models for analytics • Optimize semantic models using Power BI • Migrate legacy SSAS models to cloud-based layers • Collaborate with data engineers for performance optimization • Partner with data scientists for ML-ready models • Ensure data governance and quality standards • Document data models and maintain enterprise catalogs • Mentor junior team members and influence architecture decisions Required Qualifications & Experience: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field • 8+ years in data modeling with enterprise environments • Expertise in dimensional modeling methodologies • Advanced proficiency in SQL, DAX, and Power Query • Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms • Solid understanding of ELT/ETL patterns Nice to Have Skills & Experience: • Experience with event-driven architecture and streaming data • Familiarity with dbt for transformation modeling • Knowledge of OpenLineage for data lineage • Background in AEC or related industries Perks & Benefits: • 3 different medical health insurance plans, dental, and vision insurance • Voluntary and Long-term disability insurance • Paid time off, 401k, and holiday pay • Weekly direct deposit or pay card deposit If you are interested in learning more about the Data Modeler opportunity, please submit your resume for consideration.
