Role description
Snowflake Data Modeler Location: Atlanta, GA or Birmingham, AL Remote but ONSITE FIRST WEEK in Birmingham or Atlanta! Initial 3-month contract/Supporting a proof of concept Hourly rate: $55/hour W2 Main Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models in Snowflake • Implement star schema, snowflake schema, and other dimensional modeling techniques per business requirements • Optimize Snowflake structures — including tables, views, clustering keys, and micro-partitioning — for performance and scalability • Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business teams to translate requirements into data models and ensure data quality, governance, documentation, and metadata standards across models • Support ETL/ELT integrations and align modeling with ingestion pipelines (e.g., Informatica, dbt, Talend, Matillion) Qualifications • 4–5 years of experience in data modeling and data warehousing • Strong expertise in Snowflake (schemas, security, performance tuning) • Solid understanding of dimensional modeling, normalization/denormalization, and OLAP concepts and hands on knowledge with major cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) • Advanced SQL skills with hands-on optimization experience • Experience supporting ELT/ETL pipelines and integrating with tools such as Informatica, dbt, or Talend We are an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
