Title: Data & Performance Specialist
Location: Newport News, VA
About the Role
Rockwoods is currently seeking a Data & Performance Specialist to own the analytics and reporting driving our branch operations transformation. In this role, you will build the metrics, dashboards, and reports that track network performance and project progress, providing executive leadership with clear, data-driven insights.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Metrics & Analytics: Define and document key performance indicators (KPIs) for branch operations in collaboration with operational and process improvement leads.
β’ Dashboarding & Reporting: Build and maintain automated reports and visual dashboards to track performance, efficiency, and customer/member service metrics.
β’ Data Management: Extract, clean, and validate data across core banking systems, CRM, and operational tools to ensure high data integrity.
β’ Impact & Pilot Analysis: Establish baseline performance metrics prior to workflow changes, evaluate results post-implementation, and conduct statistical analysis on pilot programs before wide rollout.
β’ Executive Insights: Analyze trend variations, identify root causes, and prepare executive-level performance summaries for senior leadership.
β’ Enablement & Governance: Partner with IT/Data Governance teams to resolve data quality gaps, document data definitions/methodologies, and build self-service reporting tools to empower local teams.
β’ Adoption Tracking: Monitor long-term adoption metrics to ensure process improvements and training initiatives remain effective over time.
Qualifications
β’ Education: Bachelorβs degree in Business Analytics, Finance, Statistics, or a related quantitative field (or equivalent practical experience).
β’ Experience: 2β3 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, or business intelligence Financial services/banking experience preferred.
β’ Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Advanced Excel) and comfort working with large datasets.
β’ Communication: Ability to translate complex data and statistical insights into clear, actionable recommendations for non-technical stakeholders.
