To learn more about us please visit our website www.chaucergroup.com Job Profile Summary The Data Platforms Operations Lead is responsible for the management of day-to-day operational support and maintenance of both SQL Server Data Warehouse (DWH) and Snowflake technical estates including all supporting tooling and interfaces within the Data Platforms team. This role has functional oversight and management of a large Service Level 2 support team. Job Description β€’ Keep The Lights On (KTLO): Ensure the smooth running of DWH, Snowflake and ancillary application components. β€’ Essential Maintenance: Maintain drivers and code dependencies with supported versions. β€’ Fix on Fail: Diagnose and remediate system process failures, liaise with Service Level 3 developers, maintain application runbooks with known issues and remediation steps. β€’ Release Management: Conduct periodic release management into Snowflake, ensure both documentation and Operations Manual are kept up to date. β€’ Ensure the supported technical estate remains complaint with Chaucer Group Cyber Security policy, assist with both internal and external audit enquiries and recertifications. β€’ Maintain system documentation, complete service requests and ensure all monitoring / technical interfaces remain active and fit for service. β€’ Provide month-end service metrics and updates, identify service improvements, replace manual process with automation where appropriate, reduce both service costs and headcount year on year. Regulatory Responsibilities β€’ None Skills and Competencies β€’ Stakeholder management, build strong and effective relationships with all stakeholders. β€’ Able to prioritise demand and communicate effectively under high pressure situations. β€’ Understand the business cycle and pro-actively prepare for high-demand scenarios.
