Role Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated DataPower Developer / Environment Support Engineer with 5–7 years of experience in integration development and environment management. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in DataPower development, hands-on experience in support activities, and the ability to explore and upskill in emerging technologies such as AWS cloud services and Mainframe systems.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, configure, and maintain DataPower services including Multi-Protocol Gateway (MPGW), Web Service Proxy (WSP), AAA policies, and security configurations.
Perform environment support activities such as deployments, monitoring, troubleshooting, incident resolution, and performance tuning.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth delivery and availability of integration platforms.
Implement and support security standards (OAuth, SSL/TLS, LDAP, Certificates).
Participate in incident, problem, and change management processes (ITIL framework).
Document technical solutions, system configurations, and support runbooks.
Continuously learn and gain working knowledge in AWS services (S3, Lambda, API Gateway, CloudWatch) and Mainframe technologies (JCL, DB2, CICS).
Support automation initiatives to improve efficiency in deployments and environment management.
Work in Agile/Scrum environments, contributing to sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
Required Skills & Experience
5–7 years of professional experience in DataPower development & environment support.
Strong experience with XML, XSLT, XQuery, JSON, WSDL, XSD, XPath.
Expertise in DataPower objects (MPGW, WSP, Cryptographic settings, SSL Proxy Profile, AAA).
Knowledge of middleware/integration tools (IBM MQ, API Connect, SOAP/REST web services).
Hands-on experience with environment support activities (deployment automation, log analysis, troubleshooting).
Exposure to AWS services and Mainframe environments (willingness to learn and explore is essential).
Familiarity with DevOps tools (Git, Jenkins, Splunk, ServiceNow).
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a proactive learning mindset.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Good to Have
Experience with cloud-native integration patterns.
Knowledge of Agile practices and CI/CD pipelines.
Understanding of financial/telecom domain integrations.
