Role description
Data Privacy & Regulatory Compliance Lead | Robert Half London (Hybrid)
Robert Half International (an S&P 500 global staffing provider) is supporting a global consulting Fire and their end client; a financial services organisation in sourcing an interim Data Privacy & Regulatory Compliance Lead. This role will provide dedicated, hands-on oversight for critical data-related regulatory changes impacting Corporate Functions and Shared Services, with a strong focus on Asia-Pacific regulations as scope and frequency increase through 2026. This is a delivery-focused role. The successful candidate will be expected to actively close compliance gaps, not just define frameworks.
Assignment Details
• Initial contract through April (extension likely)
• Hybrid – 2–3 days per week on-site in the City
• £550-585 per day via PAYE (plus 12.07% holiday pay –with employer’s NI & Tax deducted at source, unlike umbrella companies and no umbrella company admin fees)
Key Skills & Experience
• Banking/Financial Services background is essential
• Proven experience in Data Privacy, Regulatory Compliance, or Data Governance within large, multinational organisations
• Strong understanding of Asia-Pacific data privacy regulations, particularly China and India, including cross-border data flow requirements
• Hands-on delivery mindset with experience operationalising regulatory requirements and driving remediation
• Experience identifying, assessing, and closing compliance gaps across corporate systems and data sets
• Ability to coordinate across Legal, Compliance, Data, and Corporate Functions to ensure consistent implementation
• Strong stakeholder management, reporting, and audit-preparation capability
• Comfortable operating in environments where regulatory scope and review frequency are increasing
All candidates must complete standard screening (Right to Work, DBS, credit, fraud/sanctions, employment verification).
This is a critical role supporting regulatory compliance readiness for a major global organisation. Without sufficient SME coverage, there is material regulatory, financial, and reputational risk. The organisation is investing to close this gap and is seeking someone who can step in quickly, stabilise delivery, and execute.
