• Job Description
As a Data Scientist, you will design, develop, and deploy advanced analytics products that optimize vehicle content strategy. You will work closely with other Data Scientists and Software Engineers to build robust, scalable solutions, and partner with Marketing stakeholders to ensure analytics products are relevant, impactful, and aligned to business needs.
This role requires deep quantitative expertise, strong Python development skills, fluency in cloud-based data environments (GCP), and a genuine curiosity for applying modern AI techniques to real-world decision systems.
What You’ll Do
• Develop machine learning, statistical, and optimization models to support vehicle content and product strategy
• Write high-quality, well-structured Python code for modeling, analysis, and experimentation
• Query, manage, and analyze large datasets using cloud-based tools such as BigQuery
• Partner with Software Engineers to transition analytical models into production-grade systems aligned with enterprise data architecture and MLOps standards
• Conduct model validation, sensitivity analysis, and performance monitoring to ensure robustness and business relevance
• Translate complex analytical outputs into clear, actionable insights while maintaining mathematical and statistical rigor
• Research and apply emerging methodologies in AI, machine learning, econometrics, and optimization to continuously improve analytics products
Required Qualifications
• Master’s degree or higher in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, Operations Research, Mathematics, or a related discipline
• 2+ years of academic or professional experience in advanced analytics, including at least one of the following:
• Machine learning
• Mathematical optimization
• Statistical or econometric modeling
• Artificial intelligence
• 1+ year of experience working with large-scale datasets and modern data pipelines in a cloud environment (e.g., GCP)
• Proficiency in Python for analytical and modeling workflows
• Ability to translate complex analytical concepts into clear insights and documentation for technical and business stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
• PhD in a quantitative field (strongly preferred)
• Experience deploying advanced analytics or machine learning models into production in partnership with software engineering teams
• Familiarity with AI-assisted approaches to analytics (e.g., search space reduction, scenario exploration)
• Experience working in Agile or product-driven development environments
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform or similar cloud ecosystems
• Comfort operating in environments where problems are not always well-defined
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex topics clearly to both technical peers and senior leaders
• Inquisitive, proactive mindset with a passion for learning new tools and techniques
