About the role
Our client is looking for a hands-on Data Science Manager to take full ownership of their pricing optimisation function. This is a 3-month contract leading a small international team, focused on refining and deploying pricing models that directly impact trading performance across multiple markets.
You'll be managing everything from strategy to code, balancing high-level pricing approaches with deep technical involvement in building, testing, and improving algorithms.
Key responsibilities:
• Own the end-to-end pricing product: develop, improve, and deploy pricing models tailored to market and product dynamics
• Drive experimentation and A/B testing to validate pricing strategies
• Collaborate closely with commercial teams to ensure models align with trading goals
• Work with data engineering teams to maintain robust pipelines and smooth deployments
Tech stack:
• Python (must-have)
• GCP
• Tableau
About you:
• Background in pricing optimisation.
• Comfortable leading a team but still very hands-on - coding, analysing, and iterating
• Excellent communicator who can simplify technical work for commercial stakeholders
• Past titles likely include Lead Data Scientist, Head of Data Science, or similar

Strong background in pricing optimisation, trading analytics, or revenue management

Can lead a small team while still coding, analysing data, and improving models
Skilled at running A/B tests and building robust pricing strategies
Excellent communicator - able to simplify complex data for commercial teams
