A Data Science Manager/Director JD involves leading data teams, setting data strategy, overseeing analytics/ML projects (modeling, A/B testing, insights), ensuring data governance, collaborating cross-functionally, and translating complex data into business value, requiring strong technical knowledge (Python/R, ML, Cloud) and leadership skills for strategic decision-making and innovation. Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership: Define data science vision, align initiatives with business goals, and drive data-driven culture. Team Management: Mentor, guide, and lead data scientists, analysts, and engineers, fostering skill development. Project Oversight: Manage the full lifecycle of data projects, from conception to deployment, ensuring quality and timely delivery. Technical Execution: Oversee development of predictive models, ML algorithms, data pipelines, and experiments (A/B testing). Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with stakeholders (Product, Engineering, Sales) to understand needs and deliver solutions. Data Governance: Implement standards for data quality, integrity, and security. Business Impact: Translate insights into actionable recommendations for optimization and innovation.
