Location: Washington, DC (Remote)

Job Description:
As a Data Science SME, you ll design, build, and deploy advanced analytics solutions that directly impact USPS operations and strategy.
Role and Responsibilities:
β’ Collect, cleanse, and prepare data for analysis, ensuring high-quality inputs.
β’ Design and architect analytics solutions tailored to USPS CIO and business requirements.
β’ Develop prototypes, wireframes, and interactive dashboards to visualize and validate data-driven concepts.
β’ Conduct exploratory data analysis and apply ML/statistical modeling to extract actionable insights.
β’ Lead research and innovation projects to push the boundaries of USPS analytics capabilities.
β’ Design, implement, and optimize Generative AI models (LLMs, diffusion models) for real-world applications (e.g., document summarization, virtual agents), leveraging Databricks for collaboration and scale.
β’ Develop and deploy computer vision models for USPS needs (e.g., image classification, OCR, automated sorting, security monitoring) using real USPS data.
β’ Build and maintain robust data pipelines and workflows in Databricks, facilitating experimentation and production-based code within a secure, cloud-based environment.
β’ Create and deliver clear reporting materials for executives and leadership, summarizing analytics progress, results, and recommendations.
β’ Engage with client and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment, effective communication, and integrated delivery.
