Role description
Job Summary Our client is seeking a Data Scientist to join their team! This position is located in Irving, Texas. Duties • Lead end-to-end data science projects, delivering innovative, data-driven solutions that address complex business challenges and drive measurable outcomes • Design, develop, and validate advanced machine learning and statistical models, ensuring optimal performance and scalability • Collaborate closely with machine learning engineers to deploy models in production environments, both real-time and batch, while implementing performance monitoring and improvement strategies • Partner with key business stakeholders to translate strategic goals into actionable data science opportunities and provide insights that inform decision-making • Build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships, fostering deep collaboration with product, engineering, and business teams • Serve as a subject matter expert in machine learning and predictive analytics, providing guidance on best practices and model interpretability • Stay current with emerging trends, research, and advancements in data science, continually exploring new methodologies and technologies to enhance solution effectiveness Desired Skills/Experience: • Masters degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, Business Analytics, Data Science, or a related discipline • Proficient in Python and SQL, with strong coding practices and data manipulation skills • Practical experience with modern database technologies • Familiar with transformer-based architectures including SLMs, LLMs, VLMs, and embedding models • Demonstrated expertise in API development and containerization technologies • Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including services like BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, and Vector Search • Knowledgeable in software development methodologies, including Git, branching strategies, Agile workflows, and test-driven development • Proven experience developing LLM-based solutions such as retrieval-augmented generation systems, chatbots, and agentic AI applications Benefits: • Medical, Dental, & Vision Insurance Plans • Employee-Owned Profit Sharing (ESOP) • 401K offered The approximate pay range for this position is between $56.00 and $80.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location.
