Role description
Title: Data Scientist (Chatbot experience) Location(s): Charlotte, NC or Kennesaw, GA Industry: Financial Services Contract Terms: 12+ months (W2) Position Overview β€’ This is a role that is for a Data Scientist for the Data Lake reporting team. Position Responsibilities: β€’ Review Intake Request and liaison with stakeholders to gather requirements, provides technical solutions and feedback. β€’ Works with Product Owner to create and design work requirements. β€’ Ensure that the design and engineering approach for complex data solutions is consistent across multiple flows and systems. β€’ Collaborate amongst team members to assist with knowledge gaps and or provide instructional training when needed. β€’ Constantly looking for better ways of solving technical problems and designing the solution without being afraid of challenging the status quo. β€’ Collaborate with development teams to understand data requirements and ensure the data architecture is feasible to implement and subsequently implemented accurately. β€’ Define and build data pipelines that enable faster, better, data informed decision making within the business. β€’ Contribute to existing test suites (integration, regression, performance), analyze test reports, identify any test issues/errors, and triage the underlying cause. β€’ Document and communicate required information for deployment, maintenance, support, and business functionality. β€’ Adhere to team delivery/release process and cadence pertaining to code deployment and release β€’ Identify gaps in data management standards adherence and work with appropriate partners to develop plans to close gaps. Position Requirements: β€’ Big data β€’ Chatbot/voice application experience β€’ Expertise with Jira and familiar with Safe/Agile development methodologies β€’ Ameila/IPSoft experience a plus β€’ Experience with data modeling and relational databases β€’ Experience in using tools such as SQL/SSIS/Hadoop/Oracle or Teradata β€’ Familiar with Hive, HQL, Hadoop and Python β€’ Experience with SQL stored procedures β€’ Experience working with incident management backend datasets - example ITSM, Maximo, or ServiceNow β€’ Ability to demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills β€’ Self-motivated and works independently and as part of a team.
