Job Description
• Supports existing conformity programs, methods, processes, and systems to consolidate and analyze unstructured, diverse "big data" sources to generate actionable insights and solutions for client services and product enhancement.
• Interacts with product and service teams to identify questions and issues for data analysis and experiments.
• Supports the development and coding of software programs, algorithms and automated processes to cleanse, integrate and evaluate large datasets from multiple disparate sources.
• Identifies, interprets and communicates insights and findings from analysis to key stakeholders.
• Support development, implementation and execution of data-driven solutions to monitor and ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Collaborate with compliance and sustainability subject matter experts to understand compliance requirements and translate them into analytical data models.
• Gather, clean, and analyze data from multiple big data sources to effectively meet compliance and business requirements.
• Design and maintain databases and data systems necessary for compliance monitoring and reporting.
• Conduct thorough data audits to ensure accuracy and integrity of the data used in compliance models.
• Provide training and support to other staff members on compliance-related data practices and tools.
• Support current and ongoing product environmental conformity activities related to PFAS and other substances of concern.
• Analyze and assess complex data regarding PFAS content for reporting to the Canadian Environmental Protection Act registry.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Expertise in data analysis, data modeling, and data reporting for key manufacturing and compliance related datasets or previous work experience as a data analyst or data scientist.
• Previous experience in an ERP system such as SAP in a manufacturing operational setting is a plus.
• Previous experience with compliance software or compliance related datasets is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of data mining techniques and demonstrate ability to integrate multiple, large datasets in a complex analysis with clear business outcomes.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL.
• Excellent understanding of data management and visualization tools.
• Strong analytical, systems thinking, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively convey complex data insights.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Only one Certification Bonus per calendar year may be awarded per employee. Only current, active employees will be eligible to receive this bonus. It will be awarded 90 days after the Synectics office has received documentation confirming the successful completion of the certification.
