Data Scientist

We are seeking a Data Scientist to design and maintain data pipelines connecting manufacturing sensor systems to enterprise platforms while ensuring data quality and traceability. This role will manage the TRISO manufacturing ontology, integrate MES systems, and develop simulations to optimize cost and throughput. You will build and deploy machine learning models for process analysis, optimization, and manufacturing state prediction. The ideal candidate can translate complex technical results into clear business insights for leadership and thrive in an on-site, fast-paced production environment. Required Skills & Experience • Strong Python and SQL with production-grade coding practices • Experience building data pipelines for industrial systems (e.g., SCADA/OPC-UA) • Background in manufacturing or process industries (3+ years) • Expertise in at least two: simulation, surrogate modeling, physics-informed ML, or process optimization • Knowledge of DOE, statistical process control, and uncertainty quantification • Experience developing ML models for manufacturing processes or state prediction • Ability to communicate insights effectively to leadership teams • BS/MS in a quantitative field or 5+ years of applied data science/engineering experience Compensation $50-70hr Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
