Job Summary:
We are seeking an accomplished and forward-thinking Data Science Manager with expertise in Generative AI to lead our Data Science team. In this role, you will drive the strategy, development, and deployment of enterprise-grade GenAI solutions, including LLM-based applications, RAG pipelines, and model fine-tuning. You will guide a team of data scientists and engineers while collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver impactful AI products that transform business processes.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Lead and mentor a team of data scientists in designing, building, and deploying Generative AI solutions across domains such as customer service, document automation, summarization, and knowledge retrieval.
β’ Define the roadmap and strategy for GenAI adoption, ensuring alignment with business goals.
β’ Oversee the fine-tuning and adaptation of foundation models with domain-specific data.
β’ Drive the design and implementation of scalable RAG pipelines, embedding models, and vector database integrations (e.g., FAISS, Pinecone, ChromaDB).
β’ Establish best practices for prompt engineering, model evaluation, and bias mitigation.
β’ Partner with product, engineering, and MLOps teams to deliver end-to-end AI workflows and deploy them via APIs or applications.
β’ Stay ahead of emerging trends in LLMs, transformers, and GenAI, ensuring continuous innovation and competitive advantage.
β’ Represent the Data Science team in leadership forums, communicating technical concepts and business impact clearly.
Required Skills & Experience
β’ 10+ years of experience in Data Science / Machine Learning, including 3+ years leading teams and hands-on work in LLMs / Generative AI.
β’ Proven track record of delivering enterprise AI solutions from concept to production.
β’ Strong expertise in Python and ML/AI frameworks (Transformers, LangChain, PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face).
β’ Experience with LLMs (e.g., GPT-4, Claude, Mistral, LLaMA) and GenAI ecosystems (LangChain, LlamaIndex, PromptFlow).
β’ Knowledge of embedding models, semantic search, and vector databases.
β’ Familiarity with AWS and MLOps practices.
β’ Strong leadership, people management, and stakeholder management skills.
β’ Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence technical and non-technical audiences.
