We are seeking an experienced and versatile Data Scientist to join our collaborative, cross-functional team. This role requires a strong scientific background, robust programming expertise, and the ability to develop tools and models that empower data-driven decisions across research initiatives. Youβll work closely with biologists, chemists, and project leaders to turn complex experimental data into actionable insights.
What You Will Do:
β’ Develop and maintain interactive Shiny applications for exploratory data analysis and reporting.
β’ Design and implement machine learning algorithms to support discovery and optimization projects.
β’ Work with experimental and research teams to analyze, interpret, and visualize data from diverse biological and chemical experiments.
β’ Translate experimental outcomes into actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
β’ Manage and query relational databases and integrate data pipelines using cloud platforms where needed.
β’ Maintain clear documentation and collaborate across teams to ensure reproducibility and scalability of analyses.
What You Will Need:
β’ 5+ years of experience in scientific data analysis within a research or applied science environment.
β’ Proficiency in R or Python for statistical modeling, data visualization, and automation.
β’ Hands-on experience with Shiny (or equivalent frameworks for building interactive dashboards).
β’ Strong understanding of relational databases (e.g., SQL) and experience working with large datasets.
β’ Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) for data storage and computation.
β’ Proven ability to work collaboratively in interdisciplinary teams and communicate technical results to non-technical audiences.
