Summary:
Transformative Digital Capabilities (TDC) is a division within Process Development that empowers Process Development staff to harness their transformative potential through the rapid convergence of chemistry, biology, engineering, and computing, accelerated by innovative digital capabilities.
Join our Transformative Digital Capabilities Group, a dynamic team dedicated to mission of serving patients by addressing the digital challenges of various internal stakeholders from drug substances, drug products, and attribute sciences. Our mission is to innovate and create applications, data pipelines, and manage data assets to drive digital agility within process development. Our vision is to be at the forefront of digital innovation, providing robust and scalable solutions that enhance operational efficiency and support strategic goals. Key Responsibilities:
β’ We are looking for a data scientist, preferably with a science or engineering background and programming skills to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will:
β’ Collaborate with different stakeholders across the business to gather requirements and translate them into code.
β’ Develop and maintain applications and data pipelines using Python, JavaScript, and SQL.
β’ Design and deploy databases for valuable data assets coming from different parts of the business.
β’ Create interactive frontend using React and Portly Dash for a variety of internally developed applications.
β’ Utilize Git for version control and collaborative development.
β’ Apply data engineering principles to ensure robust and scalable solutions.
β’ Engage in information modeling and semantic modeling.
β’ Apply AI tools and create AI agents to enhance scientific workflows and digital capabilities.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
β’ Bachelorsβ degree and 2 years of data science experience OR Masterβs degree
β’ Proficiency in Python programming.
β’ Strong knowledge of JavaScript and React and prior experience in frontend development.
β’ Experience with Git for version control.
β’ Advanced SQL skills.
β’ Design, implement, and manage cloud-based solutions using AWS services such as S3, RDS, and EC2.
β’ Familiarity with data engineering principles and ETL tools.
β’ Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with various stakeholders.
β’ Agile or Scrum methodology experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
β’ Prior experience in a biopharma environment.
β’ Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to tackle complex digital challenges.
β’ Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment.
β’ Experience with data science tools such as Databricks, Spotfire, tableau, or Power BI.
β’ Experience with Docker for containerizing applications and managing development environments
β’ Hands-on experience with machine learning, predictive modeling, or AI-driven applications.
β’ Prior experience developing web applications with Plotly Dash.
β’ Experience or familiarity with information modeling and semantic modeling, especially in a biopharma setting.
β’ Exposure to generative AI tools and techniques.

Pay Transparency: The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $45.50- $50.05/hr. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience and the benefits package you select.Β Full-time employees are eligible to select from different benefits packages.Β Packages may include medical, dental, and vision benefits, 10 paid days off, 401(k) plan participation, commuter benefits and life and disability insurance.
