We are seeking a seasoned Data Scientist to support organizational planning initiatives through actionable data science work. This role requires discovery analysis to identify key opportunities, define meaningful metrics, analyze product/feature performance, and generate engineering-relevant insights that help drive measurable business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct discovery analytics to surface actionable insights and help the product team optimize top-line metrics.
Define and maintain metrics, track product/feature releases, and perform ad-hoc data analysis.
Apply statistical and machine learning techniques to model data, recognize patterns, and generate hypotheses.
Translate data science prototypes into scalable product features in collaboration with engineering teams.
Support Business Intelligence and data visualization needs, including dashboards and ad-hoc data requests.
Deliver structured reporting and opportunity analyses to guide project and business decisions.
Required Skills and Experience:
8+ years of experience in data science, statistics, analytics, and reporting.
Proficient in SQL, Python, and R.
Experience with big data tools (e.g., Hadoop) and data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau).
Strong background in applied statistics, machine learning, simulation, and mathematical modeling.
Proven ability to communicate insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Comfortable working with large-scale datasets and ambiguous problem spaces.
Experience in product analytics and decision-making using business logic.
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with engineering and operations teams.
Experience in A/B testing and experimentation frameworks.
Strong stakeholder management and prioritization skills.
Background in HR tech, internal tools, or enterprise data systems is a plus.
