Are you ready to drive transformational change using data and machine learning? PDS Tech Commercial is hiring an experienced Data Scientist to lead AI/ML development initiatives that power smarter operations and decision-making across the aerospace sector. You'll work on cross-functional teams to deploy cutting-edge generative AI solutions, shape predictive analytics, and build scalable models that directly support critical airplane systems integration.
What Youโll Do
Lead end-to-end development of AI/ML solutions to meet strategic business objectives.
Analyze large, complex datasets to uncover patterns and actionable insights.
Design, validate, and deploy predictive and prescriptive models.
Develop and optimize generative AI models to drive operational efficiency.
Collaborate with stakeholders across business and engineering units to translate data into impact.
Create compelling data visualizations and reporting to support decision-making.
Ensure robust model performance through feature engineering, preprocessing, and evaluation in production environments.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or higher in a technical field.
At least 5 years of hands-on AI/ML development experience.
Proficiency in Python, including experience with APIs and libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, statsmodels, and sklearn.
Strong grasp of linear/logistic regression modeling and statistical analysis.
Experience in data manipulation and analysis using tools such as SQL, Pandas, and NumPy.
Demonstrated success in deploying models in production environments.
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced technical education or equivalent experience (e.g., Masterโs or PhD in a relevant field).
Experience with Tableau, Power BI, or other data visualization platforms.
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex models to non-technical audiences.
Familiarity with Agile tools and frameworks (e.g., ADO, Jira).
