The successful candidate will be a data explorer who embraces data wrangling and discovery, a problem solver who is energized by difficult business problems, a user of statistics who understands advanced modeling frameworks and their limitations, a proven communicator who effectively interfaces between technical and business teams, and a reliable team player. Our team is looking for an analytics practitioner with strong critical thinking skills and experience in applying programming, machine learning and statistics. Responsibilities β€’ Work collaboratively to design analytical solutions that harness internal and external data, and leverage visualizations, predictive analytics, and prescriptive methods, to help the right decision makers make the right decisions at the right time. β€’ Collaborate with partners in purchasing, product development, manufacturing, warranty, material planning, logistics and other functions to define problems, identify data, develop data pipelines, develop metrics, create machine learning models, leverage operations research techniques, and deploy software solutions to provide actionable insights that deliver measurable, transformational benefits. Job Requirements Details: Experience Required β€’ Utilizing Python (pandas, SciPy, Sciktlearn, TensorFlow and Statsmodels) and R β€’ Capable of SQL, GCP native query for data mining β€’ Comfortable working in an environment where problems are not always well-defined β€’ Inquisitive, proactive, and interested in learning new tools and techniques β€’ Proven quantitative modeling and statistical analysis skills β€’ 2+ years' experience of independent project with Python, R β€’ 2+ years' experience with visualization tool development using Angular, React, Dash, PowerBI or Qliksense. β€’ Experience using SQL for acquiring and transforming real-world data, data cleaning, data collection or other data wrangling challenges Experience Preferred β€’ Utilizing Regression and Machine Learning Model Development for site traffic analysis β€’ Utilizing Natural Language Processing, linear and logistic regression, decision trees, gradient boosting, and feature importance models β€’ Work with on-prem data sources (Hadoop, SQL Server) and Cloud data sources (GCP) understand the data model, business rules behind the data and build data pipelines (with GCP) for one or more business domains. β€’ Experience with Statistical analysis: Apply mathematical and statistical methods to design proper algorithms, develop or refine analytical models that interpret data and generate meaningful insights β€’ Work experience in the automotive industry is a big plus, as is experience in a procurement, logistics or program management functions. Education Required β€’ Undergraduate's degree in Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science or a related quantitative discipline Education Preferred β€’ Master/PhD in quantitative field, such as (but not limited to) Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics, Data Science, Operations Research β€’ Listed salary ranges may vary based on experience, qualifications, and local market.
