Job Description
The Knot Worldwide is actively seeking a Data Scientist to bolster our Marketing Science team. This role is centered around supporting our experimentation roadmap through experiment scoping, power analyses, test monitoring, and post-test analysis. Weβre looking for someone who can not only be a hands-on executor but also provide thought leadership for improving our testing process and velocity.
As a Data Scientist, you will be responsible for:
β’ Collaborating with marketing stakeholders across Brand Media, Lifecycle Marketing, Product Marketing, CRM or Acquisition Marketing to on experimentation.
β’ Partner with stakeholders on scoping experiments and providing power analyses before experiment starts.
β’ Monitoring live experiments and sharing regular updates.
β’ Completing post-test analyses.
β’ Providing regular insights to data leadership on improvements in experimentation process or technology to accelerate the testing velocity.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
β’ A bachelorβs in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field
β’ A minimum of 4 years of experience in data science and analytics roles within technology brands, with a preference for experience in a two-sided marketplace or e-commerce domain.
β’ Advanced knowledge of SQL and ability to write efficient SQL code.
β’ Advanced knowledge of python and relevant experimentation packages.
β’ Experience with A/B testing for marketing.
β’ Experience with match market testing or other causal inference approaches.
β’ Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex concepts to audiences of varying technical proficiency.
β’ A strategic mindset capable of translating business problems into analytics opportunities and solutions.
β’ A collaborative attitude that fosters a culture of data-driven decision making across the organization.
