Role description
Role Title: Data Solutions Architect
Engagement: Fixed-Term-Contract [12-Months]
Location: Remote
Salary: £120,000 + package
SystemsAccountants are partnered with a Global Organisation who are seeking an experienced Data Architect to join a growing Data & Analytics function. This is a hands-on architecture role for someone who can design and build modern well-governed data solutions using MS Fabric, while also shaping how the broader organisations data architecture evolves.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and build metadata-driven pipelines and table structures within Microsoft Fabric.
• Design and implement common data models, including dimensional data modelling.
• Influence enterprise architecture decisions, including ownership and maintenance of a CRUD matrix across systems.
• Apply data mastering principles — determining where data should be mastered and ensuring it flows correctly downstream.
• Design and oversee data integrations between applications.
• Document and govern architecture and data solutions in parallel with build and development, rather than retrospectively.
• Develop recommended solutions independently, socialise them quickly with data leadership, and move them into action at pace.
What we're seeking:
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric.
• Proven experience building metadata-driven pipelines and data structures.
• Strong knowledge of common/dimensional data modelling techniques.
• Experience influencing enterprise architecture, including familiarity with tools and concepts such as CRUD matrices.
• Understanding of data mastering principles and downstream data flow governance.
• Experience designing integrations between business applications.
• A structured, organised approach, with the ability to document and govern solutions as they are built.
• A self-starting mindset — comfortable proposing a solution, socialising it with stakeholders, and driving it to implementation.
